An e-admit card is the electronic hall ticket DSSSB issues for a specific exam. It carries your roll number, centre, shift, reporting time and instructions. It is issued from the details in your application, so a mistake in the form follows you into the card.
Part 1: Check the Card on the Day You Download It
Your name, date of birth or post does not match your ID
Entry staff compare the card with your original ID. A spelling gap can delay or block verification.
The Solution
- Compare name, date of birth, post and category with your ID, character by character.
- Write to DSSSB with your application number if anything differs.
- Keep your application confirmation printout until the matter is settled.
The photo or signature is blurred or missing
Staff also compare your face with the printed photo.
The Solution
- Zoom into the PDF before printing.
- Print on A4, in colour, at high quality.
- Report a missing or corrupted photo to DSSSB before exam day.
You noted the exam time but not the reporting time
Entry closes at the reporting time printed on the card.
The Solution
- Note the reporting time separately.
- Locate the centre on a map the day before.
- Plan your route around metro timings and traffic.
You printed only the first page
The instruction page tells you what is allowed inside.
The Solution
- Print all pages.
- Read the instruction page the night before.
Part 2: Technical Troubleshooting
"Invalid credentials" or "incorrect credentials"
This error usually means the details typed don't match your application. It is rarely a server fault.
The Solution
- Type the application number exactly as registered, with no spaces.
- Enter your date of birth in the format the portal shows.
- Re-type the security code. Refresh it if unclear.
- Retry in another browser, or clear cache and cookies.
- Verify the number in your registration SMS or email.
You forgot your application number
The Solution
- Search your email and SMS for the DSSSB registration message.
- Use the "know your application number" option on the application portal.
- Enter the details it requests, usually date of birth, Class 10 roll number and passing year.
- Save the number in your phone and on paper.
"No assessment found" or no link appears
This usually means no card is available for your details yet, or the details don't match a scheduled exam.
The Solution
- Open Latest News on the official site and look for your exam's release notice.
- Confirm your exam date has been announced.
- Re-enter your details carefully.
- Contact DSSSB if the notice is out and your card still doesn't load.
Release timing is not fixed. For the ASO exams starting 21 September 2026, the card was reported out on 17 September.
The site is slow or won't open
The Solution
- Try early morning or late night.
- Switch browsers and turn off VPN or ad-blockers.
- Use only dsssb.delhi.gov.in, not "direct link" pages.
- Retry after an hour instead of refreshing repeatedly.
Part 3: Exam-Day Checklist
| Item | Carry | Don't Carry |
|---|---|---|
| Admit card | Printed e-admit card, all pages, colour preferred | Phone display, screenshot, PDF on a device |
| Photo ID | One original: Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Driving Licence, Passport or Government employer ID | Photocopy, scan or phone image |
| Electronics | Nothing | Phone, smartwatch, earphones, calculator |
| Bags and accessories | Only what your card allows | Bags, wallets, belts, keys, metal ornaments |
| Photographs | Only if your card asks | Photos that differ from your application |
On entry, sign the photo attendance sheet in front of the invigilator. Your appearance should match the card photo. The permitted-items list can differ by exam, so your own instruction page overrides this table.
